(EN) Privacy policy

The TechnoHIT application was developed by Hasselt University, more specifically the Human Computer Interaction and eHealth (HCI & eHealth) research group in collaboration with rehabilitation sciences.

The application only collects information that is necessary to make the application work:

• information about your TechnoHIT account, to be able to identify you;
• reported information about the execution of your exercises, to be able to monitor your progress and adjust your exercises.

The mobile application will ask for permission to search for BlueTooth devices to enable a connection with a Polar heart rate sensor. It is possible that you will also be asked to allow the application to use location services, because this is possible by discovering BlueTooth devices. However, the application does not use your location. If you do not allow the mobile application to use these functionalities of your device, the application will not work optimally.

We do not share any data with other parties, and will always ask for explicit permission in advance if we want to use your data for research.

Your data will remain on our system as long as your TechnoHIT account exists. If you want to have your account and all associated data completely deleted, you can request this via an email to hci-ehealth-apps@uhasselt.be.

We are concerned with the security of your data, that is why our applications always follow the latest security standards, and we take action when updates are needed or when a data leak has unexpectedly occurred.

De applicatie TechnoHIT is ontwikkeld door Universiteit Hasselt, meer bepaald onderzoeksgroep Human Computer Interaction and eHealth (HCI & eHealth) in samenwerking met revalidatiewetenschappen.

De applicatie verzameld enkel informatie die nodig is om de applicatie te laten werken:

• informatie over uw TechnoHIT account, om u te kunnen identificeren;
• gerapporteerde informatieover de uitgevoering van uw oefeningen, om uw voortgang op te kunnen volgen en uw oefeningen bij te kunnen sturen.

De mobiele applicatie zal vragen om toestemming te krijgen om BlueTooth toestellen te zoeken om een verbinding met een Polar hartslagsensor mogelijk te maken. Hierbij is het mogelijk dat ook gevraagd wordt om toe te staan dat de applicatie locatievoorzieningen gebruikt, omdat dat mogelijk is door BlueTooth apparaten te ontdekken. De applicatie gebruikt uw locatie echter niet. Indien u niet toestaat dat de mobiele applicatie deze functionaliteiten van uw toestel mag gebruiken, werkt de applicatie niet optimaal.

Wij delen geen enkele gegevens met andere partijen, en zullen voorafgaand steeds expliciete toestemming vragen indien we uw gegevens willen gebruiken voor onderzoek.

Uw data blijft bestaan op ons systeem zolang als uw TechnoHIT account bestaat, indien u uw account en alle bijbehorende data volledig wil laten verwijderen, kan u dat aanvragen via een e-mail naar hci-ehealth-apps@uhasselt.be.

Wij zitten in met de veiligheid van uw gegevens, daarom volgen onze applicaties steeds de laatste veiligheidsstandaarden, en ondernemen we actie wanneer updates nodig zijn of wanneer er onverwachts toch een datalek opgetreden is.
